Rise in Value
…the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:7)
Valuables like beauty are in the eye of the beholder. You value what you commit to, and your actions show it. God so loved the world that He gave His Son to save it. You are the apple of His eye. He numbers the hairs on your head, and His thoughts toward you are more in number than the sand. What God deems valuable He loves.
Do you value yourself as God values you? Christ shed His precious blood to take away the sins of the whole world but only those who deem His blood precious will find a life worth living. To count His blood common, of no significance is to regard yourself as worthless and not fit for redemption. To give a little nod, get some religion, and then step on Him to sin devalues who you are.
Jesus laid down His life for you. God gave you life when He raised Christ from the dead. In Him, you rise to sit in high places. The words of Isaac Watts define your response “love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all”.
The estimation of your value will rise as you grow in appreciation of God’s gift of grace.
