Rise to Reveal

"I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead."

-Ephesians 1:19-20 NLT

Do you desire to understand the incredible power of God that raised Christ from the dead? Apostle Paul prayed that the Ephesian believers would know this power. I pray that God would grant you this understanding and myself as well. The Lord will not take you out of the circumstances of which you live. He will not make your sickness, poverty, or depression go away. What He will do is give you the power to rise from those circumstances. Christ arose from the dead, and if you are in Christ, you cannot help but rise also.

You will never understand how the Lord operates if you lean on your human understanding. Though your intellect is God's gift to you, He did not design it to give you an understanding of spiritual things, the deep things of God. Human intelligence does not have the capacity to trust. God is love and to know God is to trust Him. As you open up to Him, He will reveal His ways to you, and you will have life upon life, blessing upon blessing. Human intelligence will always put limitations on you, but God’s love to raise you has no limits.

Dear Lord, open the eyes of our understanding. Let us who are in Christ apprehend your limitless power so that we might rise to reveal your glory for those who grope in darkness.
