From Strength to Strength
But those who trust in the Lord for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak-
(Is. 40:31).
Energy is on the lips of many people these days including politicians. Doomsayers fueled by fear believe that the world’s oil supply will run out in the next fifty years.
Solar panels and wind turbines now abound because oil is a nonrenewable energy resource. Sunshine and wind keep coming despite our calls on them to produce power.
Life on earth depends on the sun and wind. Our planet is nothing without them. Language has such depth for without Jesus, God’s son no one has life either. He is the “Breath of Life”, the wind in our pipes. In Him we have power that is renewable. If your strength is gone and you feel you can’t go on, your trust in Him will renew you.
Your soul is renewable. Fear will tell you otherwise. The key to your power source is trust. Jesus Christ is your inexhaustible reserve. He will help you. He will strengthen you. Put His name on your lips and call on Him. His supply will never fall short of your need.
