Jesus Is Not Ashamed of You

For both the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers (Hebrews 2: 11).

Total acceptance is something hard to find on earth. People come here with all kinds of personalities and peccadillos that can be hard to bear. The typical human accepts a person based on his behavior, not on his being. When you are left out, bullied, or made to feel less than shame sinks into the shroud of your life and leaves a lasting stain.

Shame is a rule in this life, not an exception. But the good news is that Jesus stepped into this world to save us from the smear of sin. As we surrender our wills and trust Him with our lives, His Holy Spirit begins within us a life long process of transformation. Jesus accepts us based on His love for us, not our qualifications to meet a holy standard. He is the only one who can make us holy. As we yield to his work and his will, He lifts the veil and our “loss of face” flees.

Jesus came that we would not only survive this life but also thrive here. In Christ, we rule and reign among our adversaries, shame being pubic enemy number one. If all your life you’ve tried to fit in, and you could never quite cut it, do not lose hope. God has a family, and He wants to adopt you. The first person He will introduce you to is your brother Jesus who will totally accept you in spite of your flaws and shortcomings. Make Jesus your Lord, and He will surely change you and give you twice as many blessings for your shame.
