Tear Down Your Wall
Our reconciling “Peace” is Jesus! He has… broken down every wall of prejudice that separated us…. 15 Ethnic hatred has been dissolved by the crucifixion of his precious body on the cross (Ephesians 2:14-15 TPT).
I remember well when President Regan made his now-famous speech in Berlin announcing to the world, "Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall." A year after that speech, I moved to Germany and was present when the wall collapsed. What a glorious day was October 3, 1990, when the country reunified. Freedom came for all to advance in peace and prosperity when the wall fell.
In today's climate, we see how devasting emotional pain is, once erupted. Destructive emotions within your soul steal your peace, ruin your relationships, and separate you from God. They build an imaginary wall between you and God, and between you and people. What do you do when your emotions become a runaway train you can't control? Could your emotional pain be God's way of telling you all is not well with your spiritual relationship with Him?
Sinful thoughts and actions over time, divide us from our Father God. If you are a parent of a teenager or an adult child, you know how sharp division can cut. But know this nothing can separate you from the love of God no matter what you think. Regrets, guilt over stupid decisions, and erratic impulses do not hinder the Lord's unconditional love from drawing you to Himself. Your part is to believe the Lord loves you no matter what and trust Him with your life. He is the One who heals you. The first step is to surrender your will to Him.
Whether you realize it or not, there is no wall between you and God. Jesus tore it down when He died on the cross. He took the punishment for every sin and wrong decision you regret. Change your perception of reality and enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Acquaint yourself with the Holy Spirit, who lives inside of every believer in Christ. He will tame your emotions and temper your unhealthy passions so you can advance in peace and prosperity.
