A Time to Repent
Therefore repent and turn back so that your sins may be wiped out, 20 so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3:19 (NET)
You have entered a season of change. You can tell it by the crisp cool morning air and how the light shines during the day. The heat is no longer blistering yet warm and inviting. You will soon see the leaves turn from green to golden red.
Nature is messaging you to change. To leave behind the mistakes and attitudes of the past season for something different. Deep calls to deep with a whisper, “embrace the new, let go of the old to move forward.” In Him (Jesus), we live, move, and have our being. The Lord is moving on, are you?
Coming to the end of ourselves means coming more alive in Christ. The essential things we need in our lives often come only after repenting. God sends a refreshing to us that indeed “passes all understanding.” The days are getting shorter, and the light has a softer glow. No matter your age, your days, too, are getting shorter. Let this season remind you of your need to turn toward the Lord and change your mindsets opposed to Him. A softer, gentler character will become you.
