Change Your Path, Change Your Reality
God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart... See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on, and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting ways—the path that brings me back to you.
Psalms 139:23-24 (TPT)
Moving forward in life is impossible if you're squarely on a path of pain. If you're stuck, have enough courage to ask God, "what's my problem?" It's incredible how adept human beings are at shutting down the emotions that keep them at bay. Take guilt, for example. It's standard equipment on every model of humanity. People feel guilty even when they have no cause to be. But if you are responsible for someone's pain, humble yourself and genuinely apologize for your wrongdoing. In due time your engines will start humming again, and you will be on your way.
Rejection in whatever form it takes can lock you down in a prison of your own making. Every person on planet earth knows the pain of rejection. Unfortunately, many numb themselves to it through destructive habits or a hard outer shell. Fear of rejection will stop you from taking risks, make you a people pleaser, and steal your voice.
Grief, when in excess, will immortalize the pain of our past. The future holds no hope for those trapped in the past. Brooding over one-time events that are full of sadness gets you nowhere. Mulling over past failures and fateful mistakes will kill any hope for a life full of promise.
The Lord will show you how to reframe every bad thing that has happened to you. You must begin to see things for yourself and come out of denial. The Lord's grace will help you to move forward. In Him, you can exchange your path of pain for His glorious path that brings you to Him. His plans for you will not harm you. They will prosper you. Today He sets before you life and death, blessings and curse; choose wisely, friend!
