Come Out of that Grave!
But the LORD is with me as a dread champion [one to be greatly feared]; Therefore, my persecutors will stumble and not overcome [me].
Jeremiah 20:11 (AMP)
Robert Lowery penned these famous words that are just as relevant today as they were in the nineteenth century: “Up from the grave He arose, with a mighty triumph o'er His foes. He arose a victor from the dark domain and lives forever with His saints to reign. He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!”
The grave is the place of death. The devil once had the power of death but no longer. Jesus defeated his power when he died on the cross. He neutralized every spiritual ruler and authority and openly shamed them. The power of the cross trumps the power of the grave.
Our union with Christ frees us from this world’s slavery. We died in Christ. We were buried in Christ. We rose in Christ, and we ascend to heaven just as Christ did. Through this reality, every believer lives a triumphant life. We have the great privilege of living in the newness of Christ every day. But many of us remain in a dead place. We refuse to come out of the graves of our sin and shame.
Jesus is your dread champion! When He is active in your life, your enemies stumble and fall. Saint, it's time for you to come out of the grave. Leave the graveyards of shame, negativity, addictions, fear, and every environment of death to live on the resurrection side of life. Beloved, death and life, blessing and curse are before you; which will you choose?
