Danger Lone Ranger
But continually encourage one another every day, as long as it is called “Today” [and there is an opportunity], so that none of you will be hardened [into settled rebellion] by the deceitfulness of sin [its cleverness, delusive glamour, and sophistication.]
Hebrews 3:13 (AMP)
If you are a follower of Christ, a daily dose of encouragement goes a long way. The Lord called His people out of Egypt to their promise land tribe by tribe. No one was in the wilderness alone. In times of despair, a good word lifts your spirit and gives you the nudge you need to press on in life. Are you in a tribe of believers who daily inspire you as you do the same for them?
Jesus surrounded Himself by twelve disciples. He traveled and ate with them. He taught them and enjoyed their company to boot. Jesus knew that Godly companions make a big difference in this life, and without them, we disadvantage ourselves. Jesus is building a church (believers) who know how to encourage, preach, pray and enjoy one another despite their faults. Are you in a House of God? Are you joined with fellow disciples of Christ ready to laugh and cry together and fight the good fight of faith with and for one another?
Facebook prayer requests may be helpful, TV preaching may be convenient, but being face to face with believers is invaluable. Godly encouragement vaccinates us against sin that can quickly harden even the most mature Christian. Sin is tricky that way. Find a tribe of warriors who passionately love Jesus. Don’t be a lone ranger, for danger is present in our day.
