Glory! It's Stripping Time
Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin a person commits is outside of the body” —but the immoral person sins against his own body... For you were bought at a price. Therefore, glorify God with your body.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (NET 2nd Ed)
Relationships can turn upside down in an "If it feels good, do it" world. Many forget how to treat their bodies with respect. Regrettably, believers in Christ, unstripped of their old natures, readily participate in fleshly sins. Apostle Paul repeatedly emphasized the danger of sexual relationships outside of marriage. He says to flee from it as one who would run for his life.
Guarding your eyes will guard your hearts, also. In God's book, Jesus clarified that lusting after someone is the same as adultery. When we allow our sinful natures to control us, we are in treacherous waters. Sexual sin is in a class of its own; immorality sins against your body. In due course, your physical body will suffer for it in one way or another.
Clean living involves keeping yourself from physical passions that override the desires of the Holy Spirit living within you. Jesus has paid for you with His precious blood. Honor your body for what it is, the temple of the living God. Whoever honors God, God will honor!
Beloved, do not strip yourself to revel in illicit sex. Instead, with the help of the Father, strip yourself of deceitful desires that always end in corruption. The marital bed has many delights, a gift from God. Within the sacred vows of marriage are protection and spiritual communion that brings pure pleasure and glory to God.
