How Loud is Your Roar?

The LORD All-Powerful said to me, "I will roar and attack like a fearless lion not frightened by the shouts of shepherds trying to protect their sheep. That's how I will come down and fight on Mount Zion.

Isaiah 31:4 (CEV)

Psalms 19 begins with an eternal truth that bears much significance for us. We read the following: The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day, they continue to speak; night after night, they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world.

Without one audible word, God speaks to us through the night skies. How can anyone be an atheist who observes the intricate design of the universe? The Holy Spirit often guides us by the stars, even as a shipmate lost at sea can find his way by looking up. The Hebrew month of Av reminds us of our eternal Father.

The Father's purposes for our lives bring us meaning and give us value that the world's standards can never meet. The prevailing constellation during this month is Leo, the lion. What does the scripture have to say about lions? Plenty! Jesus is the Lion of Judah. God is the lion that roars and attacks His enemies. He protects His own like a mother lion protects her baby cubs. The scripture also describes the devil as a roaring lion who roams around, seeking someone to devour. The devil is always trying to imitate God. If he can deceive you into believing his roar is louder than your Father's, he finds a foothold in your life that will inevitably destroy your future.

Remember this the Lord is always for you, never against you! God's voice corrects and leads you to safe harbors. Don't stand for it when the devil puts thoughts in your mind that cause you to doubt the Lord's love for you! Make your roar louder than the devil's, and He will get the message and leave you. The Father has strategically put people into your life who are stars. They are beacons of light that have the wisdom of God. Look up to them and align yourself with the counsel they give. Make sure you partner with those of the Kingdom of God and separate yourself from people who live separate from God's holy roar.
