The Chosen
But you are God’s chosen treasure —priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. 1 Peter 2:9 (TPT)
If you haven’t watched the series The Chosen, you should check it out. It tells the stories of Jesus and His disciples. You see the emotions and humanity of the characters. As you watch, you see that not only is Jesus the Chosen One, but His followers are also chosen. How can such a group of people with many issues and weaknesses be selected? That’s the beauty of the series. As we watch them, we see the radical transformation Christ makes in their lives, His kindness, and patience with each one.
Whenever God desires to do something unprecedented on earth, He chooses a man (or a woman)! You have a divine assignment, born for such a time as this. You are a representative of the King of the universe. God sees you as His priests and kings. The problem is we all have flaws, and they get in our way of seeing ourselves as God sees us.
If you follow Jesus, live for Him, and learn of Him, you are the chosen. You were born with a purpose, a blueprint designed before you entered the earth. Don’t let your limitations stop you. You serve an unlimited God who loves and gives you a second chance. The size of your assignment matches the measure of how big you believe your God is! The secret of you accomplishing your mission is this: “It’s not by might nor by power but by my, Spirit, says the Lord (Zech. 4:6).”
